“Everything you can imagine is real.”

Imagine…

A young woman lies down on her back, relaxed and naked; she is taking part in a photo shoot. Her skin is fair and smooth all over, one can scent a pleasant delicate aroma of soap radiating off her. The camera travels along her and gets closer to her genitalia, gently, not at all in an invasive way, in view is her labia, tightly closed, looking almost fused together. At very close look one could notice shy goose bumps on her skin and very few delicate hairs.

She lies there quietly awaiting the other woman in the room. The photographer motions to the other woman to approach the model and explains how he would like to stage the photo. He would like her tongue to come out close to the labia, very close but never touching…

Several clicks of the camera follow in fast succession.

That’s all.
A given moment in time.
There, yet at the same time not there at all.
Something that might have happened, yet never did.

A photo can be an opportunity for our thoughts to carry us where we would like to go, a photo can allow us to be carried by the magic of our own imagination.
Our imagination, so much more powerful than reality is!!!

Perhaps this was the attraction of the ‘TouchDown’ photo. The reason it received so much attention, so many viewers and comments. The reason DA took it down so abruptly although it DID NOT violate a single policy I could find.
(Wish I could provide a link here for you to look again and decide for yoursleves)

I can only take it as a compliment.

Wishing you all a most wonderful 2008, a year blessed with wild and uncensored imagination!

Ithaca

We each have our own Ithaca...
Fortunate are those who see the beauty along the road.
Fortunate are those who have someone to share parts of the journey with them.

When you set out on your journey to Ithaca,
pray that the road is long,
full of adventure, full of knowledge.
The Lestrygonians and the Cyclops,
the angry Poseidon -- do not fear them:
You will never find such as these on your path,
if your thoughts remain lofty, if a fine
emotion touches your spirit and your body.
The Lestrygonians and the Cyclops,
the fierce Poseidon you will never encounter,
if you do not carry them within your soul,
if your soul does not set them up before you.

Pray that the road is long.
That the summer mornings are many, when,
with such pleasure, with such joy
you will enter ports seen for the first time;
stop at Phoenician markets,
and purchase fine merchandise,
mother-of-pearl and coral, amber and ebony,
and sensual perfumes of all kinds,
as many sensual perfumes as you can;
visit many Egyptian cities,
to learn and learn from scholars.

Always keep Ithaca in your mind.
To arrive there is your ultimate goal.
But do not hurry the voyage at all.
It is better to let it last for many years;
and to anchor at the island when you are old,
rich with all you have gained on the way,
not expecting that Ithaca will offer you riches.

Ithaca has given you the beautiful voyage.
Without her you would have never set out on the road.
She has nothing more to give you.

And if you find her poor, Ithaca has not deceived you.
Wise as you have become, with so much experience,
you must already have understood what Ithacas mean.

Six weeks ago I published my first photo on dA, and turned into a real dA 'addict' :)

I admire the amazingly creative and professional art work that is to be found here, and I love the friendship and support that were offered to me from the first day.

But, nothing prepared me for this... I am still overwhelmed!

Huge thank you to =enchanted-black-rose for suggesting and to ^serpentinekiss for featuring, and to Shany who modeled - you are always great to work with.

It will be impossible for me to reply personally to everyone, so please accept this: Thanks to everyone who favored and commented, and to everyone who took the time to visit. It is very much appreciated!!!

Please do visit again
